2010 COACHING APPLICATIONS

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST SPJFC HEAD FOOTBALL COACH POSITIONS.

The SPJFC Committee seek EOI's to coach the following age groups for the 2010 season.

9s, Green, Gold (2 coaches numbers permiting)

10's Green & Gold (2 coaches numbers permitting)

11s,12s & 13's, Green,Gold & Black (9 coaches numbers permitting)

14s, & 15s Green & Gold (4 coaches numbers permitting)

16's Green & Gold (2 coaches numbers permitting)

17's (1coach)

Applicants are requested to briefly outline their recent coaching experience by emailing Darryl Sinclair Coaching Coordinator to sincas@wn.com.au or dsinclair@wafc.com.au by Monday 2nd November 2009.

Where the Coaching Coordinator receives only one applicant (EOI) for a team and is deemed suitable, an informal interview may take place during the month of November. 

Please note that should their be more than one applicant for each team a formal interview process may take place in accordance with the SPJFC recruitment and interview policy.     

This EOI will also be lodged on the SPJFC Web Site

2008 REFLECTIONS

The SPJFC enjoyed great success in 2008
and through the terrific efforts of Grant Edmunds the first South Perth JFC yearbook has been produced for players, parents, members and sponsors.

Today’s parents have an important role in the delivery and support of sporting activities for their own and other children. With it comes a clear responsibility to act in a constructive and encouraging manner at all times.

Barracking and wanting your child to perform well is human nature, but it is critical that this should be done in a responsible manner avoiding the ugly parent syndrome at all times.

The basic principles of AFL Kids First are to remind parents that:
Sport for children is a vital part of their growing up.

• Children like to win, but more importantly, they want to have fun.
• Parents need to set the right example at the sports ground, not just at home.
• Parents should be proud of their child’s efforts irrespective of the result.
• Sport is important to children’s self esteem.
